Morang, Feb 6th 2017 : As many as 13 development projects have been selected for Morang district under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) aimed at improving livelihoods of people in the southern borders of the country.
According to the District Administration Office, Morang, projects include major development activities such as public awareness, empowerment through training, capacity building agricultural promotion, social and physical infrastructure development, among others.
The selected projects for various municipalities in Morang district include blacktopping of the important road, construction of bridges and culvert and solar-powered irrigation systems.
DAO Morang’s Local Development Officer Shovakar Regmi said that the selection of the projects was made by the Village Council, Civic Ward Forum and DAO Committee.
The projects will be implemented in bordering places such as Mahadeva, Jhurkiya, Bardaga, Dianiya, Sorabhag, Budhanagar and Majhare among others.
