Two women rescued from Nepal India border Gaddhachauki

Kanchanpur, October 23rd 2016 : The Maiti Nepal – Kanchanpur on Saturday intercepted a suspected trafficking network at Gaddhachauki to rescue two women purportedly heading towards third country via New Delhi, India for foreign employment.

The women – aged 26 and 29 from Sunsari and Kaski respectively – were rescued from western border point while heading towards Oman via New Delhi, said Maiti Nepal – Kanchanpur Coordinator, Maheshwori Bhatta.

The women were found inside a bus (Na 5 Kha 897) of Kathmandu – Delhi route during a routine check. The women without passports or visas are suspected to have been enticed by the traffickers with the prospect of foreign employment.

Maiti Nepal – Kanchanpur suspects the two women were being taken to India to be sold. As the women did not have required documents, Maiti Nepal decided to take them under control.
