Bhaktapur, May 25th 2017: Bhaktapur municipality’s newly-elected Chief Sunil Prajapati has started holding consultations on drainage system management and clean-up of local Hanumante rivulet.
He held discussions on the issue with officials of Waste Drainage Management Project at his office on Wednesday.
On the occasion, Chief Prajapati drew the attention of members of the technical consultation team to take concrete actions on managing sewerage system of town, draining wastes to rivulet only after processing and carrying out necessary study on proper management of waste water being flown to Hanumante.
He is also scheduled to have discussions with other stakeholders on the issue Friday as the drainage system is also intertwined with drinking water.
Also present on the occasion were senior engineer of project consultation group Dhundi Raj Dahal, social scientists Mukunda Raj Aryal and Min Dahal and Bhaktapur municipality ward 3 Chairperson Raj Krishna Gora and Executive Officer Rohit Raj Pokharel.
