काठमाडौँ, ३२ असार २०७५ । रुसमा सम्पन्न विश्वकप फुटबल – २०१८ को उपाधि फ्रान्सले हात पारेको छ ।
रुसको सेन्ट मस्कोस्थित लुजनिकी रङ्गशालामा आइतवार सम्पन्न फाइनल खेलमा युरोपेली राष्ट्र फ्रान्सले युरोपकै क्रोएसियालाई ४–२ गोलअन्तरले हराउँदै सन् १९९८ पछि विश्वकप फुटबलको उपाधि चुमेको हो ।
खेलको १८औँ मिनेटमा क्रोएसियाका मारियो मान्जुकिकले आफ्नै पोष्टमा आत्मघाती गोल गरेका थिए । खेलको २८औँ मिनेटमा क्रोएसियाका इभान पेरिसिकले गोल गर्दै खेललाई बराबरी गरेका थिए । फ्रान्सका एन्टोनी ग्रिजम्यानले पेनाल्टी मार्फत गोल गरी २–१ को स्थितिमा पु¥याएका थिए ।
मध्यान्तरपछिको खेलमा पाउल पोग्बाले फ्रान्सका लागि तेस्रो गोल गरे । केलियन एमबाप्पेले ६५औँ मिनेटमा डिबक्स नजिकबाट फ्रान्सका लागि चौथो गोल गरे । खेलको ६९औँ मिनेटमा क्रोएसियाका मान्जुकिकले गोल गरे पनि हारलाई भने टार्न सकेनन् ।
फ्रान्सले यसअघि सन् १९९८ मा आफ्नै भूमिमा पहिलो पटक विश्वकप फुटबलको उपाधि जितेको थियो । युरोपको सानो राष्ट्र क्रोएसिया भने पहिलो पटक उपाधिका लागि भिडेको हो ।
यसअघि सेमिफाइनलमा फ्रान्सले बेल्जियमलाई १–०ले पराजित गरेको थियो भने क्रोएसियाले बेलायतलाई २–१ गोलअन्तरले हराउँदै फाइनलमा स्थान सुरक्षित गरेको थियोे । क्रोएसिया अनपेक्षित परिणाम निकाल्दै फाइनलमा पुगेको थियो । ब्राजिल, जर्मनी, स्पेन, अर्जेन्टिना जस्ता विश्वकप उपाधि जितिसकेका हस्तीहरु पराजित भई घर फर्केको अवस्थामा क्रोएसिया सबैलाई चकित पार्दै उपाधिको दाबेदार बनेको थियो ।
