Nawalparasi, December 6th 2016 : Nepali Congress General Secretary, Dr Shashank Koirala, has stressed on need for unity among all the political parties to resolve the current crisis.
Koirala inaugurated the Dhandhyanyanchal Mahayagya – a ritualistic Vedic performance of the Hindus – at Kalika Secondary School at Devchuli of Nawalparasi on Monday.
Addressing the function, Koirala argued that agreement of all the parties was needed before amending the constitution. He further added that constitution amendment proposal will see passage only through consensus among the parties which in turn would facilitate its implementation.
He insisted on seeking a solution to everyone’s problem when amending the constitution and called on the party leaders and cadres to rise above partisan interest.
