{"id":3305,"date":"2017-03-23T08:29:01","date_gmt":"2017-03-23T02:44:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nepalmediaonline.com\/Nmedia\/?p=3305"},"modified":"2017-03-23T08:29:01","modified_gmt":"2017-03-23T02:44:01","slug":"pokhara-airport-construction-sees-no-progress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/nepalmediaonline.com\/Nmedia\/archives\/3305","title":{"rendered":"Pokhara airport construction sees no progress"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"popTit\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kaski, March 23rd 2017 : The construction of Pokhara International Airport has not taken any stride.<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe foundation stone of the airport was jointly laid by then Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson and incumbent PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal &#8216;Prachanda&#8217;, Deputy Prime Minister and RPP Chair Kamal Thapa, Forum Democratic Chair Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar and Nepali Congress general secretary Dr Shashank Koirala on April 2016 with fanfare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nSenior Engineer at Pokhara International Airport Project Chandra Mani Sapkota shared that the only tasks carried out in a year is the construction flood preventive canal and road reaching to the airport.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nHe however expressed his confidence that the new works of airport construction would take momentum within some days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nIt may be noted that the Chinese Company \u2013 CMCE \u2013 had won the contract to complete the airport construction works by July 2020.
